Class Descriptions

Beginners – Interested in yoga, but unsure where to start? Think that you need to be able to touch your toes to be attend? Not at all! All levels are welcome; but this class is especially appropriate for beginners.
In this class, you will explore some of the basic postures and breathing techniques that make up the practice of Hatha yoga. You will learn about the basics of proper alignment and technique.
This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.
No yoga experience necessary, simply bring a willingness to move and play!

Flow – Looking for more of a workout from your Yoga Class? In this class, you will flow (move) from one pose to the next without stopping to talk about the finer points of each pose. This way, you’ll leave the studio having had a good workout as well as a yoga experience.
In this class, you will learn to synchronize breath with movement.
If you’re new to yoga, it’s a good idea to take a few classes in a slower style of yoga first to get a feel for the poses.
You might know this class by other names such as flow yoga, flow-style yoga, dynamic yoga or vinyasa flow. However it’s named, this style of class is usually influenced by ashtanga yoga.

Relax & Restore – In this class you will be taken through each Yoga pose (asana) slowly and mindfully; the transitions from pose to the next is like one long slow graceful dance.
Build a stronger body while releasing tension and flow your way into a more blissful state!
You will learn about deepening your breath and how it anchors you in your body, helping you to live more in the present moment.
This class is suitable for beginners with little or no yoga experience however the most experience yoga practitioner will also be challenged as sometimes less is more.

Stretch & Strengthen – Learn to develop balance, strength, flexibility, and breath control in this class. Using postures which are held for a few breaths so that you (and your body) can learn great alignment and posture, alongside the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind
The asanas (postures / positions) work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues.

Weekend Wind Down (Candlelit) – A class structured to help you unwind, destress and reset after a long and hectic week.
A soothing, restorative class lit by candlelight, with focus on mind-body awareness. We include deep breathing, seated and reclined poses, and end with deep relaxation and meditation. We use props to support the body and give you the tools you need to quiet the mind.
Feel free to hang around after class and share a cup of tea with your fellow yogis.
