Visiting the Studio?

Given the current Covid-19 situation, there are a number of things you will need to know before visiting the studio. Please read the information below and feel free to ask us any questions you may have – your health and safety is our priority and we want you to feel confident and happy that we have taken all necessary precautions to keep you safe…….

Social (distancing)

We’ll be keeping you all 2m apart, on arrival, during contactless check-ins and classes. We appreciate your assistance and awareness of this when you come to class.

Spotless (cleaning)

We’ve always been clean but you’ll notice this even more now. Rigorous cleaning schedules are in place, including high-touch areas, to make you feel safe and sound in the knowledge we are doing all we can.

Safe (and sound)

We’ll encourage everyone to sanitise or wash their hands on arrival, on entering and leaving the studio. You don’t have to wear a mask, but if this makes you feel more comfortable, you are welcome to. We’re all learning the art of ‘smizing’ (smiling with your eyes!) right now!

Spacious (spaces)

In line with guidelines, we’ve limited not only the numbers in class but also in the building to ensure you can stay social at a distance and have no concerns about getting too close.

In advance

New Health Screening Form – Please complete a new online health screening form before you attend the studio for the first time (back) as we now have to ask you some additional questions. As always, your information and details are kept safe and secure and only used as detailed in our Privacy Policy (which can be found on our website) – bit.ly/YM-PARQ

Health Screening Form

Bookings and cancellations – Booking window will now close 3hours before class – to allow for admin and to allow others who wish to attend studio time to be notified (right now this will not affect your late cancellation – which will stay at 2hours unless we find that this doesn’t work for us all).

On the day / What to bring

Bring your own mat & props – we do sell prop bags / mats etc at the studio – if you need to borrow equipment please let us know in advance so that we can prepare this for you. We may have to remove this option if this doesn’t run smoothly for us and to keep admin to a minimum – but we will update you and give you notice

Face mask government guidelines are that we ask you to wear your mask whilst you are in the building but you can remove it once you are safely on your mat (and social distanced!)

Extra layers – as we may need extra ventilation (ie opening the windows) if you are a cold person, you may want to consider wearing layers so that you don’t get cold (as we aren’t sure how cold you might get!)

Bring your own full water bottle – as it’s difficult to maintain social distance to fill this at the studio.

Arrive already changed – our changing room is closed to reduce space and contact. Only bring what is necessary and leave any bags etc at home.

Been unwell? – contact us to discuss when you are able to return to class

When you arrive

Arrive no more than 10mins before class – remain in your car until the front door is opened downstairs – the door will be locked once the class starts so no late arrivals.

Temp check and screening – we will be checking every team member’s temperature before you arrive – and we will do the same with you too. If it’s high, we will ask you to return home. The NHS Covid Track & Trace QR code will also be on Front Desk for you to check in when you arrive. If you have trouble with this, please let us know.

Sanitise or wash your hands on arrival – there’s plenty of no-touch hand sanitisers between the front desk and the studio – or use the bathrooms to wash your hands before you enter class.

Shoes – place your shoes in the new storage shelves and collect a red ‘cleaning tray’. In this you will find cleaning products for your mat and props as well as giving you somewhere safe to store your keys / phone whilst in class. These will all be fully disinfected after each and every use. Please leave these in the studio when you have finished.

In the studio

Finding your space – There are markers on the floor to show you where to place your mat. If the class is going to be full, we ask that you fill up from the back to the front (don’t worry we will let you know!) – to allow those arriving after you to not have to walk everyone.

No hands on adjustments – we’re keeping our distance too in class, but you’ll still get the same results from class – you might just have to listen a little more!!

Be on time – the doors will be closed when the class starts – so no late arrivals.

Clean your mat (& equipment) – we encourage you to clean your mat at the end of class and sanitise hands on the way out of the studio

Leaving studio – leaving front to back ( a little like being on a plane!) if the class is full. This will help us to manage the collection of shoes etc whilst maintaining a social distance.
