This is possibly one of the easiest Yoga practices you can take…..develop and then maintain. All you need is a mat, blanket and the agreement to lie down for 45mins and listen!

If you’ve wanted to learn to switch off but don’t fancy sitting meditating for 45mins and get frustrated at waiting for the relaxation to arrive – then this is for you.

Allow the teacher to guide you through a systematic meditation whilst you rest comfortably in savasana and leave with a  sense of wholeness and wellbeing.

The great thing about Yoga Nidra is that anyone can do it. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes – all you need to be able to do is lie on the floor and follow the voice that is guiding you. Falling asleep is ok too, as you will still absorb the benefits via the unconscious mind.

It promotes deep rest and relaxation that isn’t found in your regular yoga practice. The breath awareness alone can be practiced anywhere to bring calmness to the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health.

So, if you fancy trying it out (and to be honest, what have you got to lose!), then sign up for one of our Monthly Yoga Nidra classes and let us help you discover what real relaxation feels like!
